GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - At Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, Caiden’s Corner hosted Santa’s Sensory Workshop on Thursday.
This event allowed those with autism or sensory sensitivities the chance to get into the holiday spirit.
The museum was open and kids could wander freely without loud noises or busy crowds.
Pizza and crafts set the scene. It was also an opportunity to get those family photos with Santa.
President and Founder of Caiden’s Corner Alyece Smith said this unique event caters to those who may not be able to enjoy big holiday events.
“Common events on the coast with children for Christmas and other events in general are very overstimulating. There’s a lot of crowding, there’s a lot of noise, there’s a lot of lights,” Smith said. “Our goal here with this event is to make it s
