Rainy weather is no problem during the winter with all the action happening indoors at Comeaux High School for the boys basketball Spartan Classic.
The three-day tournament kicked off Thursday, Dec. 4. Day 1 of the classic pitted some of the Lafayette Parish and its surrounding areas' upcoming programs looking to get better ahead of district play.
“This classic means everything,” Comeaux basketball coach Montrelle Taylor said. “It’s a representation all about bringing everyone together, especially from Lafayette Parish. I think it’s a good thing because we can show the talent we have, especially when we play against other parish-type schools.”
Along with the Spartans, Acadiana, Franklin, Rayne, Carencro, Lafayette, West St. Mary and Patterson boys basketball teams competed with bragging
