NEW HAVEN – A year after finishing in the middle of the pack last season, New Haven is hoping that its fast start is an indication of good things to come.

The Rockets have blasted off to a quick 2-0 start this week, as News Haven added to its win total Thursday with a convincing 79-60 Macomb Area Conference crossover win over visiting Madison Heights Madison.

The Rockets landed three players in double figures in the win over Madison. Kayden Harmon, a 6-foot-7 sophomore guard, had 20 points and 11 rebounds to pace New Haven, senior guard Ryan Abuan added 17 points and five assists, and senior guard Darrien Wilmer scored 10 with three blocks for New Haven.
