FRANKFORT – The Murray Art Guild has been awarded a $10,000 grant through the Kentucky Arts Council that will help fund an exhibition documenting the history of the neighborhood surrounding its new headquarters.

“Building on the momentum of the New Kentucky Home initiative and the commonwealth’s commitment to commemorating America’s 250th anniversary, the Kentucky Arts Council (KAC) has awarded $466,000 to support artists, arts organizations, communities and cultural institutions in creating projects that explore Kentucky’s role in the nation’s history and the ongoing American story,” a news release from KAC said. The funding will support 39 arts organizations and 16 artists across the commonwealth.
