The Met Office has predicted snowfall just in time for the Christmas holidays.
As temperatures are expected to take a nosedive, it could feel as chilly as -6C in Aberdeenshire and even -2C as far south as the Welsh Valleys in the upcoming days. This cold snap is anticipated to persist intermittently right through to the festive season, according to the long-range forecast recently released by the Met Office.
The weather authority suggests that snow , fog, and frost could be on the cards from 20th December to 2nd January, coinciding with the school holidays and peak travel times both within the UK and abroad.
