Scots who have been dreaming of a White Christmas could have their wish granted as the Met Office predicts some snow for the festive period. It comes as temperatures are set to dip once again in the coming days, as those in Aberdeenshire can expect the mercury to drop as low as -6C. ‌

And this cold snap shows no signs of slowing down as it is set to continue over the Christmas period, when fog and frost are also set to be possible as well as rain and "strong winds". This is set out in the Met Office's long range forecast which spans from Friday, December 19, until Friday, January 2. ‌
