Grace Hayden, the daughter of Australian cricket icon Matthew Hayden, has thanked Joe Root for scoring an Ashes century in Australia which meant her dad will not have to walk around the MCG naked. The England star scored a remarkable 138 during the first innings of the second test with both Grace and Matthew understandably relieved following the latter's bet.

After Greg Blewett omitted Root from his list of best English batters on the basis he had not scored an Ashes away century, Hayden disagreed with his fellow Aussie and subsequently made quite the claim. He said earlier this year: "I'll talk to you at the end of this summer. I'll walk nude around the MCG if he doesn’t get a hundred this summer."
