Meghan Markle reportedly "hasn't made contact" with her dad , Thomas Markle, following his "life or death" operation earlier this week. Thomas, 81, had to undergo life-saving surgery during which his leg was amputated , it has been claimed.

Speaking out on his father's condition, Meghan Markle 's half-brother revealed that their dad fell seriously ill at his home in the Philippines. Thomas Markle Jnr. said earlier this week: "I took dad to a hospital close to our home and they did various scans and the doctors said his life was in imminent danger.

"They raced us by ambulance, with the sirens going, to a much bigger hospital in the center of the city. My dad has undergone emergency surgery."
