IT'S little surprise that Kim Hellberg hasn't yet had the opportunity to get out and about and see Middlesbrough and the surrounding areas.

For it sounds like the head coach - when he hasn't been at the training ground - has had his head buried in a laptop forensically studying Boro , the players and the rest of the Championship.

Before Hellberg had even been appointed as head coach, he'd spent countless hours trawling through Wyscout and watching the goals of Boro 's forward players from the last four years.

What areas did the goals come from? How many touches did they take? How many have they scored with their head? What was their movement like?

For Hellberg, it was all about "drawing a picture" so he knows how to get the best out of Boro's strikers.
