COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Missouri man was charged after allegedly committing arson Tuesday at a gas station in Dublin, court records say.

According to Franklin County Municipal Court documents, 39-year-old Carl Ray Foster Jr. was charged with one count of aggravated arson in the incident.

An affidavit says Dublin police officers and Washington Township firefighters were called on a report of a fire alarm at a Marathon, located at 215 W. Bridge St.

Fire department investigators determined the fire was intentionally set based on burn patterns, the affidavit shows. Video evidence from the scene reportedly showed only one customer, who was later identified as Foster Jr., entering the area several minutes before the fire started.
