On the famed blue turf in Boise, Idaho, a pair of college football teams will meet up to try to fulfill a season-long goal: Winning a conference championship.

UNLV will head north to take on Boise State in the Mountain West championship game on Friday, Dec. 5 at Albertsons, Stadium in Boise, Idaho, one of four title games being held that day.

It's a rematch of last season's Mountain West championship, which the Broncos won 21-7 behind 209 rushing yards from Heisman Trophy runner-up Ashton Jeanty. The two teams also faced off earlier this season, with Boise State earning a resounding 56-31 victory on Oct. 18, a game in which they rushed for 289 yards and averaged 8.9 yards per carry.

It will be the Broncos' final game in the Mountain West before they join the reconstituted Pac-12 next season. Boise State will be aiming for its third-consecutive conference title and its sixth since 2014.

The Broncos and Rebels were selected for the game after a four-way tie atop the conference standings was broken by a composite average of four advanced metrics.
