Athletes from Norton and East high schools won the voting as Akron-area high schools' top offensive and defensive football players of the year.

Buddy Willig of Norton is the offensive football player of the year winner and Marcus Henderson II of East is the defensive football player of the year winner. Willig received 55.86% of the votes cast and Henderson received 74.61% of the votes cast. Watch Ohio High School Sports Live on the NFHS Network all season

A total of 17,795 votes were cast overall.
