Brits have been warned that UK airports could see the busiest Christmas in history, with the worst travel chaos ever expected across December. The country’s aviation regulator is working with the airline industry to prepare for the busiest festive season in travel history. The Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that this year saw the busiest summer ever for UK flights. Between July and September, more than 90 million passengers travelled through the nation’s airports.

Across last year's Christmas season, 22 million passengers flew in just December alone. It’s set to be no different this festive season, with tens of millions passengers predicted to fly this month.
