A man has been found dead inside a vehicle on the M8 after police locked down the busy motorway.
The discovery on Thursday, December 4, prompted a temporary closure of the road westbound. Police were called to the scene between junctions 29 and 30, near Glasgow Airport , at approximately 7.50pm.
Cops have described the death as unexplained, though they do not believe any suspicious circumstances are involved. It is understood the man’s death was due to a medical issue as reported by GlasgowLive.
The busy westbound carriageway remained closed for nearly six hours while emergency services attended the scene, reopening at 2.36 am on Friday, according to Traffic Scotland. Motorists were required to divert from the M8 during the investigation.
