Syracuse, N.Y. — Section III girls basketball teams have been playing for a week, which means it’s time to take a look at the players to watch this winter.

All-CNY Small School Player of the Year Emeline Barton is off to Alfred State, but Large School Player of the Year Ella Trinkaus returns for a shot at a third straight award. Small school finalist Brooke Reddington is back for her sophomore season at West Canada Valley and large school finalist Leah Benedict returns for her junior campaign at Cicero-North Syracuse.
