KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A pedestrian is dead after a crash on Chapman Highway Thursday night, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

The crash happened around 10:40 p.m. near Moody Avenue, KPD said, when a person driving a Nissan Titan truck hit another person who was crossing the road.

That person walked in front of the truck, KPD said, and was pronounced dead on the scene.

KPD officers are investigating the crash.
