Heavy rain and strong winds are lashing Devon this afternoon.

The abysmal weather arrived on Friday morning and has caused disruption on our roads.

The A38 at Ashburton is currently blocked due to flooding. Traffic is queuing on the major road as a result.

There are several flood alerts in place across the county, including in Plymouth, where flooding is expected.

Elsewhere, the Dartmouth Vehicle ferry is not operating due to strong winds and tidal conditions in the area.
