CHICAGO (WLS) -- Authorities have released the identity of a woman struck and killed by a CTA bus in the South Shore neighborhood.

The bus was in the 7000-block of South South Shore Drive just before 8 a.m. Wednesday when it started moving from being stopped, Chicago police said.

The woman appeared to have slipped, and the bus hit her, police said.

She has been identified to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Tracy Frasure.

Several witnesses said the bus not only hit and killed a woman trying to get on at a stop, but then proceeded to keep driving after the crash.

"Heard something sound like branches on the glass," witness Wayne Foster said.
