POTTAWATTAMIE COUNTY, Iowa —

Scott Belt is no longer on the board of supervisors after a judge's ruling.

Court documents allege Belt went to a bar before a meeting last month and was drinking.

Later at the meeting, the petition said Belt had problems speaking and was clumsy.

The county auditor, recorder and treasurer will work over the next 40 days to fill the vacant seat.

The board voted to approve Brian Shea as the new chair and Tim Wichman as the new chair pro-tem at a meeting last month.
