OMAHA, Neb. —
The Metro Area Planning Agency (MAPA) is amending the 2026 Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP).
MAPA wants to add several Sarpy County projects and increase funding costs for another.
The proposed funding increase would be for improvements to Capehart Road, 156th Street and Fairview Road. The current cost is $1,150,000; MAPA wants to increase it to 45,000,000.
Four projects would be added for street widening and paving:
192nd Street from NE-370 to I-80
192nd Street from I-80 to Platteview Road
Capehart Road from 192nd Street to 204th Street
Capehart Road from 168th Street to 192nd Street
These changes to the TIP aren't final yet, they're set to go into effect December 11th.
