CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Around 9:00 a.m., a chemical exposure at the M&M Mars facility prompted an emergency response on December 5.

Bradley County EMS and the Cleveland Fire Department responded to the incident.

Seven individuals were evaluated by on-scene medical personnel, according to Bradley County EMS.

One patient was transported to Erlanger Medical Center.

Five people were taken to the Bradley Medical Center for further evaluation.

One patient was treated and released on scene.

There is no danger to the public and no ongoing threat beyond the facility, according to Bradley County EMS.

The plant is located on Peerless Road in Cleveland.
