Coronation Street fans are desperately trying to work out what's ahead for Carla Connor and Lisa Swain as their relationship remains on rocky ground - but they're sure they've spotted a 'red herring'.

Fans have longed for the couple to have a successful relationship, ever since they gave in to their feelings for one another towards the end of last year. It was complicated along the way, but in September, things were looking up for 'Swarla' as they moved into their first home, No.6 Coronation Street, and got engaged.
