LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Thursday night after a stabbing in a downtown Lincoln parking garage, police say.

At around 10:15 a.m., officers responded to a parking garage at North 11th and Q streets on a report of a stabbing.

The victim, a 19-year-old man, and another man spotted 34-year-old Michaelangelo Newell sitting in the lobby of an apartment building as they were leaving, police said.

They walked out, and Newell started following them to the parking garage, according to police.

Newell then yelled at the victim and made a “stabbing motion” toward him with a sharp object, causing a small cut on his shoulder, LPD said.
