An 82-year-old Wall Township man was seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle in Galloway Township, authorities announced Thursday, Dec. 4.
At 5:14 p.m., officers responded to Route 9 and Moss Mill Road after a 1999 Buick Century driven by a 64-year-old Lumberton man was traveling southbound on Route 9 while the man was crossing Route 9 from the east side of the roadway toward Historic Smithville, Galloway Township police said.
The man was not within a crosswalk at the time he entered the roadway and was struck by the Buick, police said.
He sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, police said. The crash remains under investigation, police said.
