LANDOVER, Md. — Commanders fans are either jumping for joy or gritting their teeth. Jayden Daniels is set to take the field against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday at 1 p.m.

"He threw a great week of practice. He is cleared to play and he will start Sunday," Quinn said Friday.

Daniels went down with a dislocated elbow in week nine against the Seattle Seahawks blowout loss, 38-14. Since then, he's been sidelined but was cleared for practice, but only non-contact reps last week.

Daniels said he has been feeling the itch to get back on the field since he was hurt. He's trying to keep expectations in perspective.

"I'm just trying to go out there and play football," Daniels said.

Since his injury, Daniels said he's learned more about the passion he has for the game.
