A man who strangled his victim and hounded her with texts and calls has been jailed for more than two years.

Bradley Green, formerly of Cucumber Lane in Weston, appeared before Ipswich Crown Court on Wednesday, December 3 for sentencing.

He had pleaded guilty to offences including; two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentional strangulation, controlling or coercive behaviour and harassment causing fear of violence in relation to one victim.

The 28-year-old initially denied the offences, claiming he was a victim of abuse, but later changed his plea and was jailed for 27 months.

He was also made subject to a restraining order.
