A school learning support assistant (LSA) has insisted he acted professionally at all times and has said stories he told pupils about the military were "misinterpreted", a professional standards hearing has been told.

Scott John Trigg-Turner, who worked at Bassaleg School in Newport, did not attend the Education Workforce Council Wales (EWC) hearing, was not represented and has not responded formally to a string of allegations against him.
