COLUMBIA, S.C. — A woman accused of beating a vulnerable adult at a facility in Richland County has been arrested after a state investigation.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said that 22-year-old Kaitlyn McKenzie Davis was charged on Thursday and booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center for an incident that allegedly happened over the summer.
Warrants provided by SLED state that Davis hit the victim in the head and face multiple times with her fist and elbow while at the Midlands Regional Center on Farrow Road. She was employed at the location as a direct support professional at the time.
The warrants state that the victim had damage to the left ear and required medical treatment. Davis was charged with abuse of a vulnerable adult after agents conducted an investigat
