SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. — A South Carolina school's basketball coach has been arrested after allegedly causing a disturbance at a game and refusing to comply with officers' orders to leave.
The Spartanburg Police Department said the incident happened on Thursday at Carver Middle School during a sporting event. Police said the school's principal had asked the school resource officer to remove a visiting coach, identified as Nicholas Jerel Brannon, from the property.
According to police, the principal alleged Brannon was "involved in a disturbance with school staff, parents and attendees," however, the statement doesn't elaborate on what he specifically did.
