A man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for assaulting a woman for three days in a Longmont home in March.
Thomas Jeffrey Winters, 29, was sentenced to a decade in prison in October after agreeing to plead guilty to one count of second-degree assault causing serious injury. Winters received 213 days of credit for time served.
Three counts of first-degree assault by strangulation, one count of forceful false imprisonment for more than 12 hours and one count of felony menacing with a real or simulated weapon were dismissed as part of the plea agreement, according to Boulder County District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Shannon Carbone.
