Wicked: For Good has landed a spot on a major box office chart. The new sequel adapts the second act of the Broadway musical about the origin story of the Wicked Witch of the West. The Wicked: For Good release kicked off the weekend before Thanksgiving with a $147 million opening weekend that marked the best ever for a Broadway adaptation.

Per Deadline , Wicked: For Good has concluded its second full week in theaters by hitting a cumulative total of $280.2 million at the domestic box office. This total sees it squeaking past the domestic gross of Ryan Coogler's Sinners , which earned $279.6 million in North America by the end of its run.
