DONALD Trump has been awarded a "peace prize" at the 2026 World Cup draw.
In a bizarre moment, the US president took to the stage at the John F. Kennedy Centre in Washington on Friday to accept the inaugural Fifa Peace Prize.
Trump was awarded the prize ahead of the draw for the 2026 World Cup, taking place in the US, Canada and Mexico.
The award is hugely controversial, with human rights campaigners previously urging Fifa not to hand the inaugural prize to Trump.
Given to the Trump by Fifa president Gianni Infantino, the award recognises individuals who have made "exceptional contributions to peace and unity".
