David Pastrnak has taken the first step toward getting back in the Bruins lineup.
The star winger skated for the first time since suffering an undisclosed injury, according to the Boston Herald’s Steve Conroy. Pastrnak has missed Boston’s last four games, so returning to the ice is an encouraging development.
Pastrnak didn’t practice — he skated before the session — and afterward coach Marco Sturm deemed the forward “day-to-day.” When asked about it during his press briefing, Sturm said he actually didn’t know that Pastrnak had skated, but that didn’t make a difference in his status.
“Nothing really changes,” Sturm said.
After a 5-2 win over the Blues on Thursday, the Bruins return to action on Saturday night, when they host the New Jersey Devils at 7 p.m. ET.
