The 2026 World Cup is officially one step closer.

Each group for next year's World Cup is being announced Friday afternoon from the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., where President Donald Trump made an appearance on stage during the two-hour live show in the nation's capitol.

The United States Men's National Team (USMNT) is still in search of their first World Cup trophy as the furthest they've made it since the World Cup expanded to 31 teams is the quarterfinals, which came 23 years ago in 2002 in South Korea/Japan.
