GRIFTON, N.C. (WITN) - A town-wide boil water advisory for Grifton has been lifted.
The town says three water samples have come back clean this morning, with no contamination.
A leak on Tuesday from a water main break at Church Street and Charles Street caused some residents and businesses to see little to no water pressure throughout the day.
The low pressure could have allowed contamination to get into the system, so that’s why they issued the boil water advisory.
With the clean tests, the town is no longer recommending that the water be boiled.
