Heavy rain will likely cause minor flooding on roads in parts of Western Washington where a coastal flood advisory will be in effect Saturday.

The advisory, in effect from 4 to 10 a.m. Saturday, applies to San Juan County, northwestern Snohomish County and the lowlands of western Whatcom and Skagit counties.

Tidal overflow around abnormally high tides could flood parking lots and parks and may cause some isolated road closures, according to the National Weather Service. The highest flooding risk will be for Skagit County, the weather service expects, but all rivers will be monitored.

Moderate flooding risk is expected for the Snoqualmie, Skykomish, Snohomish and Skagit rivers.

A separate advisory is in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday along the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
