LINCOLN, Neb. —

Lincoln police identified the 24-year-old man who was shot and killed at a gas station Thursday.

Officers responded to the Casey's located near South 13th and E streets around 11 a.m. and found one man, identified as Jarell Wheeler, with life-threatening injuries and another man, believed to be an innocent bystander, with non-life-threatening injuries, investigators said.

Lincoln police said Wheeler died from his injuries at a local hospital. The bystander, a 38-year-old man, was struck twice. Officials said he has been released from the hospital and is expected to be OK.

Wheeler's brother, 23-year-old Emanuel Greenwalt-Claypool , was arrested for second-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony and second-degree assault.
