A Warren County drainage project designed to prevent future flood damage in Harmony Township has been named the County Public Works Project of the Year by the New Jersey Chapter of the American Public Works Association.

The project was built in response to devastating July 2023 storms that dumped a foot of rain over three days, destroying more than 100 lane miles of roadways and damaging or causing the failure of 33 county bridge structures.

Representatives from the Warren County Department of Public Works’ Division of Bridges and Roads, received the award at the state association’s annual holiday and awards luncheon in December .
