To Stratford With Love will celebrate its 37th year with the size of crowd that hasn’t broken bread together since before the pandemic.
Registration closed with nearly 800 people signed up for the Dec. 13 event that has become a Christmas staple in the city since Richard and Ruth Kneider, the couple behind Simple Dreams Ministries, hosted their first free community dinner at the old Army and Navy building on Lorne Avenue.
“We need to kind of get back to where we were before COVID,” Ruth Kneider said. “We need each other. We need to support general lifestyle – you need help with your kids, financially you’re struggling, whatever (it may be), you’re not alone. We’re better together. There can’t be division. No good comes from a lack of support.”
