KINGSTON, N.Y. — State Sen. Michelle Hinchey, Ulster County Clerk Taylor Bruck, Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger and advocates for immigrant rights gathered outside the Ulster County Office Building on Friday to condemn a decision by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to cancel a naturalization ceremony planned to be held on Dec. 12 and called on the Trump administration to restore it.

Bruck told attendees that the frigid cold Friday morning paled in comparison to what “our neighbors and friends are going through” in the immigrant community.
