Who lives in a Burger King above the surface? SpongeBob SquarePants and his pals, at least for now.
In the days since Burger King unveiled its "SpongeBob Movie Menu" to celebrate the Dec. 19 release of "The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants," fans of the show have made it their mission to get a taste of Bikini Bottom's newest cuisine.
Some have gone on to share their reactions and reviews of the offerings online, which have elicited a sense of nostalgia among consumers for the colorful packaging and surprising flavor combinations.
"Tried the SpongeBob meal at Burger King - it was awesome!" a consumer shared on X Dec. 4.
Burger King's SpongeBob-themed offerings, available "for a limited time, while supplies last," feature creations "inspired by all your favorite SpongeBob movie characters," according to a Monday, Dec. 1 news release.
"This latest partnership with The SpongeBob Movie might just be our most exciting menu yet, with four delicious menu innovations, one-of-a-kind toys, and exclusive packaging including two special edition BK crowns," said Joel Yashinsky, chief marketing officer at Burger King, in a news release.

How long will the SpongeBob meal stay
SpongeBob-themed menu offerings, including the Bikini Bottom Bundle, will be available at participating restaurants nationwide "while supplies last."
Burger King did not immediately respond to USA TODAY's request for comment.

From Patrick's Star-berry Shortcake Pie to SpongeBob's Krabby Whopper, an assortment of foods inspired by the colorful world and characters seen in SpongeBob SquarePants awaits Burger King customers, at least for a limited time.
SpongeBob-themed offerings include:
- SpongeBob's Krabby Whopper - A ¼ pound beef patty, flame grilled on a yellow square bun stacked with melty American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, and a splash of ketchup and mayo.
- Mr. Krabs' Cheesy Bacon Tots - Crispy, coin-shaped tots filled with gooey cheese, savory bacon bits, and fluffy potatoes, served in a treasure chest carton.
- Patrick's Star-berry Shortcake Pie - Strawberry shortcake pie slice with strawberry and vanilla flavored creamy layers, a crunchy cookie crumb crust, shortcake cookie crumbles, and pink star-shaped sprinkles.
- Pirate's Frozen Pineapple Float - An icy refreshing frozen pineapple-flavored beverage topped with tropical flavor cold foam.
- Bikini Bottom Bundle - Can't pick just one? Enjoy all four items in a Pineapple-shaped Under the Sea Box, complete with a medium float and 8-piece Cheesy Bacon Tots.
- King Jr. Meal - Burger King is offering a special-edition King Jr. Meal in a pineapple-shaped Under the Sea Box, featuring one of six collectible SpongeBob toys and a limited-edition SpongeBob crown.
