Renee Zellweger stepped away from Hollywood because she feared she was becoming "dull".

The Bridget Jones's Diary actress, 56, took a four-year hiatus from acting in 2010 and departed the film industry once more following her 2019 movie Judy, staying away for six years - now Renee has admitted she required time away from her career as she was concerned her absence of life experiences was turning her into a "boring" individual.

Speaking to The Telegraph newspaper, she explained: "I'd become stuck repeating the same patterns. When you go straight from making one film to the next, it's a cycle.

"You're in pre-production on one, post-production on another, doing reshoots on a third and promoting a fourth.
