PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A suspect is in custody after a hit-and-run crash involving a police officer during a traffic stop Friday in North Philadelphia.
The incident began around 2:10 p.m. when officers stopped a red 2007 Chrysler Sebring driven by a 20-year-old woman.
Police say the woman reversed and made "light contact" with the officer's vehicle before allegedly speeding off and striking an officer on the driver's side. No injuries were reported.
The Chrysler was later found on the 2800 block of North 8th Street after being involved in another crash, according to police. The woman fled on foot but was arrested shortly afterward.
