ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - A Central Louisiana family is fighting for their baby’s life as the six-month-old boy born with half a heart endures a medical journey that requires constant travel and mounting debt.

Roland Stanford was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a condition where the entire left side of his heart is missing the structures needed to pump blood.
