A prominent social influencer who moved to Calgary to escape U.S. President Donald Trump’s America has been rejected by Canadian immigration officials.
Six months after arriving in Calgary seeking a more tolerant home, Pamela Smith said she, her husband and three children are considering leaving Canada for Portugal, after Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) deemed them ineligible for permanent residency.
The woman, with more than a million followers on social media, has been chronicling her journey relocating to Calgary in mostly glowing terms, and has been embraced by Canadians across the country.
