KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- On a cold winter day, the weather in Kenosha seemed fitting as a quietness hung in the air. Three hearses lined up outside Great Lakes Church for three sudden losses.
On Thanksgiving night, 10-year-old Rylee, 9-year-old Connor, and 7-year-old Alena Kannin were killed in a deadly fire near 43rd Avenue and 52nd St. Their father, Joshua Kanin, was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
"Me and their dad aren't together, so it was over at their dad's day. I had just had them over Thanksgiving morning, not knowing it was the last time that I was going to see them,” said the children’s mom, Jourdan Feasby, in an interview with CBS 58 last week. "I was so excited for Christmas shopping but now it's just caskets."
