MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. —
A deputy was injured during the arrest of a man and woman in McDowell County, North Carolina.
On Nov. 26, deputies with the McDowell County Sheriff's Office conducted a welfare check at a home in Glenwood.
Deputies said 39-year-old Larry Lee Walker of Marion in the home.
According to deputies, Walker was in violation of his domestic violence protective order. Walker resisted arrest and an altercation ensued, resulting in the injury of a McDowell County deputy.
Walker was charged with the following:
Assault with physical injury on a law enforcement officer
Domestic violence protective order violation
Resisting a public officer
MCSO
Walker was denied bond due to the protective order violation.
