LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Federal officials arrested 15 people this week at the Port of Lake Charles, authorities said.

On Dec. 3, USBP agents collaborated with federal, state, and local partners to “apprehend 15 illegal aliens,” a Facebook post from USBP New Orleans read.

We reached out to the Port of Lake Charles, which confirmed that USBP conducted operations at the port’s City Docks facilities.

“(The operations) involved some contractors and tenants at Port facilities, but did not involve Port employees, Port of Lake Charles Executive Director Richert Self said in a statement.

We also reached out to USBP and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for comment and have not received a response.
