Three New Castle County police officers were honored on Dec. 5 for their work in arresting a man last week who was found with a notebook containing notes on warfare techniques, premeditated assault plans and a diagram of the University of Delaware Police Department.
"I can't overstate how thankful I am for what these officers did," Delaware House Speaker Melissa Minor-Brown said during a Dec. 5 morning ceremony recognizing the three men. "This could have been a very different week for all of us."
"Thankfully because of your quick actions, it didn't happen," said Minor-Brown, who organized the tribute.
