ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A suspect in the fatal shooting of a man at a downtown Atlanta apartment building last month was arrested in North Carolina, according to police.
Atlanta police said 22-year-old Dominique Tillman Brown was taken into custody in Smithfield, North Carolina, on Friday.
Just after midnight on Nov. 5, police said a 911 came in reporting a shooting at the Bethel Towers apartments on Auburn Avenue. Police said there was some sort of argument or attempted robbery that led to an exchange of gunfire in the hallway.
Paramedics rushed a 39-year-old man to Grady Memorial Hospital, but he did not survive. His identity hasn’t been released.
